Balloons of Hope

I’m reminiscing on this photo through tears and smiles because of how things WERE just over 3 years ago, and how they are NOW.

This is my purple Mickey Mouse balloon that Tim (my knight-in-shining-armor of a husband) bought for me at Disneyland in 2013 – during our “infertile” and nearly hopeless stage. We decided to believe God for the dream of children in our heart. Just about to board “Space Mountain”, we got out my red lipstick, wrote the kids-we-want-to-have-but-it-would-take-a-miracle names on the balloon, and sent it up to heaven with a prayer and and a hope.

This week, that prayer and dream has been fulfilled as we welcomed our second miracle, Claire, into the world! As I’m writing this, she is crying in her car seat as big brother Liam naps next to her in his.

It just makes me think – what other balloons of hope should I send up to The Lord? What other dreams are livin’ on a prayer? What ELSE could change in 3 years? I think it’s time for more balloons… Because He is good, loves each of us so much, and has better things ahead than behind.

Here’s to your balloon and mine, dreams coming true, and change for what seems impossible!

Thank you God for my miracles! My heart is overflowing with gratitude!

Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”
